Hello, my name is Hailey Waines, and I am reaching out to you for support for my niece, Kiera Hailey Barriskill. On January 28, 2024, Kiera was involved in a hit-and-run incident, and she was in critical condition. Kiera has 2 blood clots on her brain, a small bleed on her brain, multiple fractures on her skull, she still has some swelling. Kiera has a fractured orbital bone, a fractured scapula on her right side and a fractured temporal lobe. She has a fractured shoulder, bruised lungs and many scrapes and bruises. She is still not out of the woods and brain surgery is not off the table. The incident is still under investigation, and our family is devastated by this tragic event.

Kiera is a 16-year-old, grade 11 student who is known for her bright and caring personality. She is a kind-hearted and compassionate young girl who always puts others before herself. Kiera is a dedicated student, excelling in her studies and actively participating in school activities. She is known for her positive attitude and willingness to help others.

Kiera loves spending time with her friends and family, and she has a special bond with her beloved kitty, Mini. She is a social butterfly who brings joy and laughter wherever she goes. Kiera's infectious smile and warm presence have touched the lives of many, and she is deeply loved by all who know her.

As Kiera fights for her recovery, her parents are facing significant medical home care expenses and ongoing care needs. We are reaching out to the community for support during this difficult time.
