Please Grant a Dying Man His Last Wish
My name is Mark Richards and I am 65 years old. I currently reside in Boise, Idaho formerly from Dover, New Jersey. In July of 2016, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 melanoma cancer throughout my body as well as cancer of the brain. Over the course of the last 2 years and six months I have undergone numerous treatments of chemotherapy and radiation for my cancer. My Oncologist told me at that time the cancer was irreversible and would eventually spread throughout my body. The doctor also told me the cancer was terminal and at best I had 2 years to live. During my chemotherapy treatments I was frequently ill resulting in my missing a lot of work. Missing a lot of work caused me to get behind in my rent and medical bills.
In March of 2019, I went for my regularly scheduled Cat scan. The doctor informed me the cancer has aggressively spread throughout my entire body and that I have only 3-6 month to live.
The reason I moved to Boise, Idaho is that I have always had a passion for 4 wheeling in the scenic mountains of Idaho and Oregon. It was my dream to one day go to the Dunes National Recreation Area in Oregon. Unfortunately, because of my illness, missing a lot of work, hospital stays, struggling to pay my rent and bills I have been unable to put together the necessary funds to make the trip to Oregon. I'm also concerned that I will leave a huge debt and funeral expenses to my sibling sister and brother.
It is my goal to get my personal affairs in order, payoff whatever bills and or debt I have and to be able to fulfil that dream trip to the Dunes National Recreation Area in Oregon before I’m too ill or pass away.
