Please help 2 year old Xena keep her legs

Hi! My name is Kayla.

My 2 year old rescue pup needs surgery.

We had a dog reactive working dog move next door to us about a month ago and we share a fences. Yesterday my dogs were outside in the backyard after we made sure the neighbors dogs weren’t out. Within minutes my neighbors let theirs out. I don’t think they could see my dogs over the fence.

My pup Xena was standing on her back legs, leaning on the fence and barking at the neighbors dog, while theirs was doing the same when our other dog Rio came running from the other side of the yard to protect her and bumped into her popping her hip completely out of socket.

We took Xena to the ER vet only for them to tell us they won’t reset it because she requires surgery for severe hip dysplasia and there’s significant risk that the extended weight on the opposite leg will cause it to also pop out leaving her with no back legs to use without surgery. Quite literally the er vet said it’s the worst case of hip dysplasia she’s seen and Xena’s hip ball joint is completely dislocated according to the X-ray. For lack of understanding the medical terms, there’s nothing that’s keeping her leg attached to her hip.

I feel weird even asking for donations but we are desperately trying to get our girl to keep her legs or at the very least repair the dislocated one.

Your help would be so greatly appreciated.
