Please help a kind man if you can. Mahalo

Hello fellow humans. It is with enormous sadness I have to report that William Haskell, (Billy, Wil, Bill) has been diagnosed with Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma. My name is Dana, and I am a very close friend of his, as well as the mother of his teenage daughter, Vivian.
Currently, the tumor is still operable, but he has not yet made a decision whether or not to go the surgical route. In addition to us having a difficult time finding a GI surgeon specializing in the necessary procedure who will accept his insurance, it is also a major surgery with a low success rate and long recovery time.
Those of you who know Wil know what a kind, giving, honest, gentle, hard-working man he is. He is also a phenomenal father to his 16-year old daughter, Vivian, and her 11-year old sister, Marina.
At this time and into the near future, Wil is unable to work. We are hopeful that with your support and prayers, he is able to stay home comfortably without stress and still be able to pay his living expenses, medical co-pays and deductibles.
We are aware that many people are struggling to make ends meet in this economy right now, and if this is you, our prayers are with you and and please just continue to pray for Wil. For anyone else who is financially able to help him at this most difficult time, he would be extremely grateful and humbled.
I have never seen William take a day off in the 17 years I have known him and I know how difficult it is for him to accept "hand outs." I also know how immensely grateful he will be that the support of his friends, acquaintances, and family will allow him to carry on without stress about his financial obligations and enable him to utilize the time he has to spend with his daughters and loved ones, and enjoy the gift of life that he has been given.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read his story, and for your prayers and generosity.
