Aleasha Marie Talbert
April 20,1984-
April 26, 2023.
At 4:42 p.m. today my oldest daughter Aleasha lost her 5 year battle with breast cancer. In 2018 at age 34 she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. In 2021 the cancer had returned and spread to her lungs, liver, and a spot on her spine. And early this year to her lympnodes in her chest. On March 25, 2023 she was rushed to the University of Louisville Hospital. She had 2 types of pneumonia. Then while still hospitalized she developed a pulmonary embolism. She was a fighter. But this time she was unable to recovery from all the different things going on in her body. With all she had been through, chemotherapy, radiation, pain management procedures, and other numerous procedures she stayed strong with a smile and positive attitude. If you knew Aleasha, you knew she was an amazing young woman. Always helping customers at the pharmacy she she worked find the lowest possible costs she could with cost of medication as they are. She worked at this company for over 12 years. She enjoyed helping people and wanted to get back to work because that was who she was. She had an enormous heart and wonderful personality. She will be greatly missed by so many. The exact date of her services has not been determined yet but will be at Dwalt Funeral Home in Salem, IN. There is a GoFundMe page set up by my sister Sharon Miers Shackelford. To help with her final expense Any donation would be greatly appreciated. No amount is too small. Thank you and God Bless.
THIS IS AN UPDATED BEFORE THIS PAGE EVEN BEGAN: When we first started to write up this page, the below were the highlights of the story we were trying to help raise money for.
Now, the story has changed. After battling cancer for 5 long years, Aleasha is sadly losing that battle. Now, tragically, we are trying to help the family with what will be her final expenses.
Please read on to know some of the story of this wonderful young woman.;
Imagine being young and having a whole lifetime ahead of you, with so many hopes and dreams to live out with your family, your fiancé’.
You set a wedding date: Family health emergency
You set another date: Another Family Health Emergency
You try and set a third date, but in December 2018, you find out you have Breast Cancer. Stage 3. And your only 34!
Many Chemo and many Radiation treatments later…You beat it! You won!
All is good, so you think. September 2021 Your cancer is back! Stage 4 this time.
The troubles start to pile up again. , and it seems to be one thing after another. When you think it can’t get much worse, lurking around the corner is even more devastating news. Your long-time fiancé, your rock through all of this, is diagnosed with brain cancer. The debt just keeps piling up, the medical bills are endless. You’re not sure how you will pay for everything. Even your childhood dream of a wedding looks as though it will never happen. There’s so much left that you want to do. And now, it seems so little time.
You’ve worked in the pharmacy world for 13 years, and went above and beyond to help so many people get better costs on their outrageously priced medications over the years, all because it’s just who you are…………… Then one day you learn that the job you’ve been at for so long, and had so much love for, is in jeopardy. Now you’re not only years into a breast cancer battle, but you could lose your insurance now as well
Well, this is the reality for Aleasha Talbert.
It is our goal to help her offset some of the cost of travel, and lodging, while she receives continued treatments. It is also our hope to take some of that sadness, and constant worry, and turn it into smiles and wonderful memories. Wouldn’t it be wonderful, to bless her, and her fiancé, with that wedding that they deserve and have patiently been waiting for, for so long?
Be the light in someone else’s darkness<3
Please remember, every single donation helps us get closer to our goal and will bless them! There is no such thing as a donation that is too small. The internet is a vast world. And if this can reach at least a thousand people and each of those people give just $15, we will reach our goal! <3
PLEASE SHARE THIS FUNDRAISER WITH YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY, AND ASK THEM TO SHARE AS WELL.
Thank you and God Bless!
