Please help Amber on her road to recovery!

Hi, my name is Stephanie, and I am fundraising for my friend Amber. I met Amber when we were both pregnant. Our daughters were both due at about the same time. Amber already had a young son, and I always looked to her for help and guidance as I was a first-time mom and clueless.

Everything changed when I was about halfway through my pregnancy, and my world was thrown into chaos. Amber was such a wonderful friend, and her kindness and compassion were instrumental in getting me through one of the darkest and scariest times of my life. Here it is 16 years later and our girls are both in high school and now Amber is going through something even more frightening.

At the beginning of this year, Amber was diagnosed with a life-threatening disease that has resulted in multiple stays in the ICU, surgeries, hundreds of medical tests, pain, and a tremendous amount of fear about the future. 

Thankfully, she is home to continue her recovery, but that hasn’t alleviated the challenges. It will be some time before she is cleared to work, she is not able to drive yet, and simple tasks are a challenge on a regular basis.  

Amber is strong and committed to her recovery, but the stress of everything that has happened and the long road ahead are overwhelming. The physical, emotional, mental and financial burden is and will continue to be overwhelming. Please consider donating to assist not only for day-to-day expenses but the out-of-pocket medical expenses that will continue for many more months.
