Please help and pray for Matt

Matthew is a 25 year old young man, his mother is Lisa Burrows-Reyes and father Darrell Adkins brothers Darren Burrows, Devin Adkins, Jared Bonn and Jd Adkins. Matthew works full time as a plasterer for his mother’s company Don Burrows Services.

He was in a tragic accident, Matthew was riding a motorized skateboard and crashed. He suffers from brain swelling and a brain bleed. He is in the SICU unit at Holmes Regional Hospital, The trauma doctors had to remove one half of Matthews skull on the left side, this side of the brain controls your language, memory and motor skills for the right side of the body. He is on a ventilator and trying to heal. This is going to be a very long journey for him and his family. Matthew is not awake and is on a ventilator. He is making baby steps toward recovery, and it is unclear the damage that has been done to his brain, once he is out of a coma, the uncertainly of surviving and with the work of God’s help the brain will start decreasing in swelling and the bleeding will stop. Then Matthew can start his road to recovery. He is going to spend numerous weeks at a rehabilitation center in Gainesville, Florida after his long stay in the hospital. His family has to go with him to help him in his journey. Matthew is going to need medical equipment to aide him along with the support of friends, family, and complete strangers but above all with the help of God.

Matthew has health insurance but as everyone knows insurance only covers a portion of his medical bills, and it doesn’t cover all of the additional costs this journey is going to endure.
