Help Rachel & Anthony Medical Expenses in Mexico

This is my brother Anthony Grigsby and his girlfriend Rachel Villarreal who took a vacation to Mexico City (January 11th, 2024). While sightseeing museums, purchasing from local mercados and enjoying restaurants - their vacation became a nightmare.

Rachel and Anthony took a boat ride Sunday afternoon and purchased drinks after visiting an amphibian farm. Within hours Rachel became sick, and by the following day my brother shared symptoms of volatile vomiting, body aches/weakness, delusions, and immobility. When Anthony woke up Tuesday morning, he found Rachel lying on the floor - unresponsive and unconscious. 911 was contacted and both were taken by ambulance.

Rachel was quickly intubated, and placed in a coma as doctors believed she had fallen causing the swelling to her brain. Anthony was treated for severe dehydration (administered an IV Drip), given medications and later provided with an interpreter. After the toxicology and MRI results, doctors discovered there were traces of Amphetamines - including Methanol and Ecstasy.

Sadly, Rachel and Anthony are Victims of Drink Spiking (alcohol or drugs slipped into drink w/o permission). While fighting for her life intubated and sedated, Rachel has progressed from nearly dying to:

While this could have killed my brother, Anthony has gained his own strength daily since this horrific experience remaining by his love, Rachel. Though still in Mexico City, they are with family now by their side.

Financially, this has taken a toll that nobody could prepare exhausting and depleting funds.

I humbly and desperately ask you to find it in your hearts to donate. While grateful my brother had enough strength to get help and is alive, I fear for our dear Rachel who is still struggling. Anything is appreciated minimally or generously.
