Help Ashley fight stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer

Hello, I am Ashley’s mom, Susan. I want to tell you a little bit about my daughter. Ashley is a divorced single mom, and she is the proud mama of my 9 year old granddaughter, Emma. Ashley is my only daughter, she has 2 brothers, and she is the middle child.

I had always hoped that I would have a little girl of my own one day, and when I got pregnant with her I was ecstatic! I have been blessed to have such a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing daughter! I remember that I couldn’t wait for her to start talking, and then at age 3 she talked nonstop. I definitely got my wish.. lol. She was a straight A student in school, she never got into trouble, and she excelled in everything she did! Ashley is a home health nurse, and she absolutely loves her job, and taking care of people. Like I said, I have an amazing daughter, and I couldn’t be more proud of her!

Ashley was first diagnosed with breast cancer at the young age of 28 back in Nov. 2018.  She had a lumpectomy, chemo, and radiation. She was cancer free after treatment for about a year, but then she was diagnosed for a 2nd time. This time she had to have chemo again, a double mastectomy, and Diep Flap surgery. (That is where they take a section of skin and fat from your stomach and place it where your breast is.)

Ashley was again cancer free for a year. All her scans came out good and soon after she went to get her port taken out, but when the doctor was examining her to make sure she was good to have it taken out the oncologist felt a lump in the same spot, same area. So a biopsy was done and confirmed to be breast cancer again for the 3rd time.

It was discovered from her CT Scan that she had a an enlarged lymph node behind her aorta. Her oncologist wanted to do a biopsy, but it was very risky to do since it was so close to her heart and lungs.

Soon after that she had a PetScan done and it showed a mass in her liver. A biopsy was done on her liver and it was confirmed to also be cancer. This means she has stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Surgery will be done soon to remove the cancer from her breast, but as of right now we don’t have a date for surgery. Hopefully, we will know next week when she sees her Oncologist.

Ashley has been through so much at such a young age, and we all want her to not have to worry about bills so much.   We want her to able to concentrate on herself and her healing.
