Former Marine, Dad, Pappy, Nurse, Friend, married almost 32 years. Starting a little over a week ago he fell ill spiking a fever of 103.6 thinking it was the flu. We took him to Tower Medical where his friend an Nurse Practitioner Ben Garcia noted that he was not well from the last time that he saw him and he was very concerned drawing labs to see if it could be some underlying issue as he was negative for Flu A an B. He then sent him home with antibiotics until labs report was obtained. To follow up with his family doctor which he did and was put on on a steroid an gout medication due to symptoms he was having. The fever persisted until he was unable to walk. Late Thursday early Friday morning he woke up saying he thought he needed to go to the ER where he was directly admitted and diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma which is a rare blood cancer that only 200,000 people a year in the U.S. are diagnosed with. Not having insurance my cousin asked if she could start a Go Fund Me page and here we are. But our God in Heaven is in control being Christians and showered with love from Jesus and our friends and family. We know Christ has his situation under control. We give our thanks and praise to God and the love and support of our friends and family.
