Please help Baby Asa Vaughan

My name is Jennifer Seevers. Im aiming to raise immediate funds for Asa Vaughan, son of Rob and Heather Vaughan who was born on March 20 2017. The Vaughans are close, longtime friends and they need our help. Heather was hospitalized for the 43 days prior to Asa's birth due to unforseen medical issues that put her and Asa both at high risk & required constant monoriting.
Precious Asa Vaughan was born 4 weeks premature and has "wet lungs" or over expanded lungs, not fully developed and containing fluid.
Asa has been in the NICU unit at Betty H. Cameron Womens and Childrens Hospital in Wilmington since birth. Now experiencing Apnea and Brady episodes, Asa is fighting hard to grow into regular breathing without episodes. He must go 5 days episode free before he can go home. These "episodes" or conditions cause his blood oxygen levels and heart rate to drop to dangerously low levels in seconds. Apnea is when breathing stops for 20 seconds or more requiring constant around the clock care. Asa has been on oxygen and a feeding tube nonstop and is just today trying to learn to breath, swallow and eat on his own...without a Brady episode. Heather, Rob and 4 yr old Alex have been staying in the housing complex nearby, run by the hospital. It's the closest to a home away from home there is where they can sleep and rest during the hours they cannot access the NICU. This facility however is not free and comes with a nightly fee, just like a hotel in addition to all of the other things such as meals, gas, and inconveniences of not living at home. This is added onto the family's regular monthly budget and living expenses.
Asa is fighting everyday and growing stronger by the minute. Please immediately help this family, and precious Asa to be able to heal, their family be provided the continued housing they need, meals, gas, assistance with normal living expenses at their own home not to mention the mountain of medical bills coming thier way. As a parent with a child fighting for life, daily bills and money should not be the added stressor. As a parent of 3 children, I cannot fathom the fight this family is in, but I do know the faith they have and let me tell you... that it is strong!
Rob and Heather are both longtime members of the CGCSA and are 2 of the most giving, willing and loving people you will ever meet. Help Asa by helping them and contributing any amount you can below and by keeping them in your prayers & adding them to prayer lists. #PrayforAsa. God Bless and thank you.
*ALL funds go directly to the family for IMMEDIATE assistance.
