Please help Barbara & Dave Trimble

08/08/2022: Hi All. Dave is truly struggling & still needs us. Bar's life insurance has been a mess to deal with, from lost paperwork on their end to the inability (unwillingness?) to answer questions. Her employer is doing everything they can to try to help, but even they are struggling. It is not a huge amount but enough for funeral services arranged. In the meantime, Dave is trying to figure out how to pay Newcomer ($5,000) while also trying to keep his home, keep the lights on & eat (ballpark of 3-4k a month.) That does not include any / all vehicle-related costs. He does not want to ask for help & is embarrassed. He is also scared. If you know him, you know that he would be (or has been) the first to give you the shirt on his back if you needed it. Any/all donations made here are directly deposited into the bank account he shared with Bar. Hi. My name is Sydney. When I was at my absolute lowest in life, Barbara ("Bar") & Dave went above and beyond to pull me back to living my life, not just existing in it. Bar is a huge animal advocate, and one of the ways she "reached" me was by involving me in the weekly transport of rescue dogs and cats for various animal rescues every Saturday morning. Bar has continued her work, even after moving back home to KY, as the Treasurer for Bailey's Way Rescue, Inc. She & Dave were patient, kind, loving and supportive of me when I needed it the most. So it's my turn to try.

 

On July 3, 2022 Bar suffered a massive stroke. The hospital doctors initially thought that she had also had "an event involving her heart". As it turns out, Bar had several "mini strokes" prior to the massive one. She currently has a lot of blood around and damage to the right side of her brain. Dave is U.S. Army medically retired, disabled & STILL fighting for his rights/disability % with the VA, and she obviously can't work now. Add to that, they handle the lion's share of care for their beautiful grandbaby, Ariah. They need our help, folks. If it is $1 or $500 or $5,000, please help. Thank you!

Bar & Dave were high school sweethearts who reunited years later to realize they already knew their soul mates: Each other.

Bar had several hand surgeries, losing a thumb in the process. 2 days after losing her thumb on her right (dominant) hand, where was she? That's right, transporting 4-legged babies with me.
