November 9th Bebe, Beverly Allen, went in for a routine endoscopy, 8 hours later she lay intubated in a medically induced coma in the ICU at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Shortly after returning home from what was to be a routine procedure, her throat began to swell shut due to a rapidly expanding hematoma in her neck.

Her life was saved by the quick actions of EMTs who intubated her before her windpipe was completely blocked. A week later, doctors were able to successfully perform a tracheotomy, and now she is  extubated, still unconscious and at the beginning of a long, slow journey back to health.

Bebe is a single, working grandmother responsible for raising her 6 and 8 year old grandsons Connor and Byron. They need your help to meet basic expenses while she recovers.
