Please Support Beck Leather & Crafts if you can!

Sadly, 2020 - 2021 has been a very difficult year for Beck Leather & Crafts in West Jordan, UT and it's owners - David and Mary Ann Beck. The COVID pandemic that has crippled so many small businesses throughout the state and the country has hugely impacted business at Beck Leather and Crafts and has now unfortunately reached crisis point for them financially.  David Beck, the owner of the business is a dialysis patient and has been unable to even go into the Store for over a year due to his health putting him at such high risk. In addition to David’s health issues, despite loyal employees best efforts to keep the business going, business has also suffered further due to the significant drop in membership in scouting programs and scout camps throughout the country, which had always previously been a significant and consistent source of income for the business.

This is a hugely scary and stressful time for them both. David and Mary Ann are facing a major decision of whether Beck Leather & Crafts can continue to keep its doors open to its customers and to supply scout camps and youth programs, due to the drastic drop in sales during the past year and a half.  They sincerely love and appreciate all of their customers, friends and loyal employees who have supported them over the many years but are increasingly concerned about being able to continue at all, with the compounded financial difficulties.

David and Mary Ann are truly the most wonderful, kind and giving people you could ever meet. They have done so much to help and support so many people, often dropping everything at a moments notice to support to others.  Honestly, this time - it is them who really need the support from the community to get through this difficult time.
 
With significant arrears in rent and bills, as well as growing day to day expenses, we are asking the community to support David and Mary Ann in any way you possibly can. If we can help them to pay off their business expenses incurred throughout this previous impossible year, that would be a huge help to them in itself during this highly stressful time. We also encourage anyone to go down and visit their store in West Jordan and make a purchase in their store. Leather and other crafts are great ways to occupy time and boost morale during the health crisis and they stock a huge range! Any sale truly helps!
