Please help Bee and Jacob after Hurricane Helene
Donation protected
Hello! Jess and Melissa here. We are raising money to help my sister Bee and her partner Jacob get back on their feet. As many of you may already know, hurricane Helene blew through the east coast of the United States leaving many areas absolutely wiped out. Bee and Jacob were finally settled into a cozy home in Marshall North Carolina after many years of struggling to find a suitable living situation. They worked really hard to get a small pet sitting and cleaning business up and running and were finally in a good place. A week ago now, a tropical storm hit Marshall NC after a long drought. The first storm is what started the rise of the French Broad River, followed immediately by Hurricane Helene. The storms flooded the small town of Marshall, destroying their home and everything in it. Not only are they out of a home, they like many, are out of jobs now as well. They have been spending the last week shovelling toxic mud from the entire first floor of their house and throwing out all of their belongings, as well as helping the community do the same. Anything you can do to help these two get back on their feet from losing everything would be greatly appreciated. At this point, they are working to clean up and help the community but are unsure what their next steps will be and where they will go. They currently have no home or work so this will help to keep them afloat while they figure out their next moves in life. Whether that's moving out of state while the region is under repair or helping them pay the remaining bills they have while unemployed. These funds will help them in whatever capacity they need.
Every little bit helps. Thank you!!
