Please help me Give Brayden the life he deserves

Many of you know Chad sadly passed away February 2020 in Bend Oregon, leaving behind his only child, Brayden. It feels as if Brayden hasn’t had the best of circumstances since coming into this world. I want to make sure he gets the opportunity to have a good and healthy, safe, loving and happy life….

Brayden is under CPS care now and lives with 6 other children – most of whom are “in the system.” This is Brayden’s 5th placement in less than 6 months. How can a child find security in a constantly changing home? I recently spent a week with Brayden in Oregon. My leaving, and leaving him, was so devastating for him and I…During our last phone call he said “Gramma, I miss you so much, …. I want to live with you forever. I can’t be happy Gramma….. only when I am with you…..”

That was my only and last phone conversation with him. September 12. The resource parent is not providing Brayden the ability to call his gramma. And SSP are not setting up any times to make it possible for him to call. He has been isolated from his gramma and his sister….he is struggling so badly. Is so confused and uncertain. And has no source of comfort of support. And this is being ignored with the Oregon Department Of Human Services. Braydens Bill of Rights are being violated!

I am filing for custody of Brayden through the Oregon foster care system. However, I have been alerted that my best hope will require me to hire a lawyer for the process. (Few people are granted custodial care of family members without a lawyer being involved.) The process is long and frustrating, but I am willing to do whatever is necessary to be able to care for my dear grandson, Brayden.

Most of you know of my limited finances, and it is for this reason that I am starting a “GoFundMe” for the legal process of bringing Brayden home to his gramma. I want this beautiful, sweet loving soul to have a chance at being a child with a wonderful childhood…. If you can help us, I will be forever grateful. I know he will too.
