Please help Brian Cassidy battle Throat Cancer!

Hello!

My name is Christina, and I am Brian Cassidy's niece. With his permission, I am asking for some donations to help with travel expenses while he is receiving treatment for his Oropharyngeal Cancer (throat cancer).

Brian, or affectionately known as "Unc Unc" by my family and close friends, is well known and loved by many people in the community. His goofy and approachable demeanor are part of the reasons why he is so well loved. He plays a vital role at his job at the Herkimer DPW, and has been a mechanic in the Herkimer area for many decades. He is a hardworking man, a loving husband, father, brother, and uncle. Anyone who knows Brian, knows that his laugh is one of the most infectious laughs you've ever heard- and we want to continue to hear it for years to come!

Brian was diagnosed with Oropharyngeal Cancer earlier this month. This was discovered shortly after multiple months of complications from appendicitis and a perforated part of his bowel. He can't catch a break! Brian and his wife, Diana, are still deciding on where they would like to go for his treatments. He will need chemo once a week for several months, and radiation five times a week for a month. He is still considering his options as to where he would like to receive his care; no matter what direction he drives for his treatments, all of his options are all an hour or more away from his home in Herkimer. Any and all donations would go towards gas, medical bills, and the special radiotherapy face mask to wear for the radiation treatments. ***This diagnosis is not not due to smoking tobacco; Brian is not a smoker**"

Brian has a tough road ahead of him. He is still very sick from his appendicitis complications, so he has been through a lot over the last several months! Once the previous health concerns are addressed, he will start his chemotherapy treatments.
