Please, help Brion fight for his life

Hello, my name is Kevin J. Bovee and this is the story of my brother Brion’s fight to live. In 2012, my brother’s life changed radically when the doctor gave him the diagnosis we all fear to hear, cancer. Initially, the doctor proposed surgery to remove the large cancerous tumor; however, the surgery proved to be more than the doctors could handle in the hospital and my brother was given even worse news, “there is nothing we can do, you have about 3-6 months to live.” The news devastated all the family and we prayed for a miracle. Sometime after this terrible diagnosis, Brion decided to do what he knows best, fight, fight for his life. After hundreds of hours of research on alternative medical options, he found a clinic in Germany that specialized on cancer difficult cases. Brion was able to receive treatments in Germany, by the grace of God and the support of loved ones his life was saved. Due to the severity of his case, he had to return for several follow-up treatments and 10 years later he is still with us.

Even though the clinic in Germany was able to eliminate some areas of the cancer and reduced others, some still remained and required follow up treatments. In 2020, COVID-19 pandemic shook the world in unimaginable proportions and this prevented Brion to receive treatments, which he needed. After three years of not receiving treatments, his cancer has spread and is causing unbearable and constant pain. Again, the doctors in the US are saying there is not much they can do. Unfortunately, the clinic Brion found had to close, but he found another clinic in Germany, which is approximately $35,000 to $40,000, about $28,000 more than the previous clinic’s cost of $12,000. Due to the extra cost, it has become nearly impossible to access his treatment.

Our family is humbling asking through this fundraiser for your kind donation to help Brion get to Germany and get his treatments. We are hoping he can go soon and return for a second treatment in six months. We pray that based on the previous treatment results, if the treatment can reduce the areas and the size of the cancer, he may be able to get some help back home, God willing.
