PLEASE, PLEASE Bryan Mudd needs your help! Anything is appreciated, even if it's just $1!!
My incredible father Bryan Mudd was rushed to Boca Regional Hospital Wednesday April 15th around 2:00pm. He was found collapsed and seizing in front of a neighbors house due to a stroke. Upon arrival at the Emergency room, the CAT scan showed that he is also suffering from a brain aneurism that ruptured, causing bleeding in the brain.
The doctors say due to the timeline of events, it is likely that the aneurism ruptured 3-4 days prior to his stroke. He is prone to migraine headaches, so we had no idea that the headaches he was experiencing was due to a life threatening issue his brain was dealing with. He is currently in the ICU at Marcus Neuroscience Center in Boca Regional hospital with one of the best Brain Surgeons, Dr Snelling. He is being monitored by an amazing ICU staff, and they currently have a drain inserted in the back of his head to remove as much spinal fluid and blood as they can. They are estimated that this will have to be kept in for 2 weeks before beginning the next brain surgery. As of now, we are not aware of the severity of damage that the stroke has caused, and I know this is going to be a long road to recovery.
For anyone who knows my father, he would be upset to know I am asking for donations. However, anyone who has dealt with a critical illness of a family member knows how quickly bills can pile up. Every single penny raised will be going to his monthly bills, as well as medical bills that are already through the roof.
My father Bryan Mudd is the most selfless man I have ever met, my travel buddy, my best friend, and anyone could attest to his genuine character. He has spent every day of his life helping other people and doing "favors", now it is his turn! If anyone has any questions regarding his status or want further information, PLEASE do not hesitate to reach out to me. My dad is my best friend and I am going to do everything I can (from a distance) to make sure he does not succumb to his injuries.
This is a terrifying time, as COVID-19 prevents any visitors, even myself. It has been increasingly difficult to cope with intermittent updates and I find myself staring at my phone waiting for the next call fearing the worst but hoping for the best. Taking one day at a time, and I hope everyone out there is staying safe during these unprecedented times.
