Please Help Cassie and Her Girls
Donation protected
Hi! I'm Linda and I'm hoping to raise funds to help my friend Cassie get back on her feet after a harrowing and destructive automotive malfunction. On February 10th, she was driving home from a Girl Scout activity with her kids when she noticed smoke seeping out from under the hood. At first, she thought it was something to do with the radiator, but as she was pulling over to the side of the road she realized it smelled like something was burning. She quickly got the children out of the car to a safe area away from the vehicle and the road.
Within a few seconds, flames were shooting out of the hood, and a moment later the car was completely engulfed in flames. What didn't burn was melted.
Because of the age and value of the vehicle, she only had liability insurance, leaving her to replace and tow the old car as soon as possible. She also has the expense of replacing her children's personal effects such as their winter coats, booster seats, backpacks, and blankie.
Cassie is a single, hardworking mom with two amazing little girls, and she's battling a debilitating chronic illness. In spite of the challenges her health condition presents, she's a beautifully upbeat, optimistic person.
Funds raised will go directly toward helping Cassie pay for reliable transportation for herself and her girls and replacing the things they lost in the car fire. Any amount is deeply appreciated. Let's get these sweet ladies a safe, dependable ride!
