PLEASE HELP CELIA HIBBERT GET ELECTED;OUR COMMUNITY CHAMPION
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
I remember going with my newborn to St. Joseph's Merry-Hill Church Wolverhampton and someone took my baby from me and off they went into the Crèche. It was such an exhilarating moment!
Each Sunday I went, the same Crèche arrangements were available. This then became my church!
I said to myself, I will pay this forward…
Friends, this is where and how my community activism started.
I later became a Crèche, youth club, tea and coffee volunteer. I ‘did the lot’!
Few years later, this metamorphosed into full blown politics. Fast forward 14 years ago till present. I'm no longer just a Local Mum, I've gone on to enjoy a career in Sports Education and I have stood for 3 Local Elections in a very ‘difficult-seat-to-win’ of Penn Ward and guess what? I have won all 3 Elections, each time increasing my Majority!
My approach to politics has remained rooted to my journey - the journey of a Local Mum, who gained respite from Community Volunteers when I needed it most.
I'm pleased to say that it is the same members of my community who have encouraged me to put myself forward to serve as the next Member Of Parliament, for Wolverhampton West.
I am an Independent Councillor, and I am standing as an Independent Parliamentary Candidate. This also means that I am free to listen to the people and to do what is in our best interest, instead of taking orders from a Political Party. I am free to represent my electorates!
Normally, Political Parties will fund Candidates election hence Candidates also have to do as they're told. In my case I'm relying on Friends, Families, and Well-wishers.
Please chip in as little or as much as you can. Election is on 4th July!
This is a snap election and the financial pressure is one that only me cannot afford, especially as I am only but a Local Mum. I promise, I will work hard to make sure I win for us!
My personal interest is in grassroots sports (I have a Masters Degree in Sports and Exercise Science from University of Wolverhampton. My 1st Degree is in English)...
I have already pledged to donate a sizable percentage of my salary to grassroots sports initiatives if Elected as an MP. I will also do the same with Initiatives which promote ‘Independent-Living’ - another close interest of mine that I developed since serving as a Councillor in a Ward with a high rate of ‘Independent-Living’ arrangements.
If you want to know more of the work I've done as a Councillor or if you want to follow my campaign, please visit my Facebook: Councillor Celia Hibbert.
Please consider donating towards this campaign, I'm ready and willing to continue to serve my community.
And no matter how high I go in Politics I will never change the Local, Compassionate and Selfless approach to representing the people…
I will always stay true to how I started!
Many thanks
