Please Help Charlie Lamb Come Home

Donation protected
Charlie Lamb has fought harder than any warrior to beat Lymphoma for the second time. Unfortunately, the medical professionals have done all they can and is releasing Charlie next week to finish his days at home on hospice. For those who know Charlie well, I am sorry this is how you are finding out this information. We have done our best to respect Charlie's wishes in keeping this private. For those who know Charlie, he cares more about how others feel than he does himself. I believe the thought of trying to comfort those close to him was overwhelming.

It is Charlie's wish to return to his home in Idaho. He is too weak and unstable to make the drive from Stanford hospital to home. Since his insurance will not pay to send him home, the only way to get him home is by hiring a private medical flight. The quote we have received was $20,440.00 to bring him home.

Charlie is the epitome of integrity, loyalty, and honesty.  He is the first person to help someone in need and has had a positive impact on every life he has touched.

He has always been extremely active in his four children's lives, and in addition to them two young children that he calls his own.

Charlie grew a desire to seek employment where he could be impactful in people’s lives. Throughout his life, he had always had the desire to help others; therefore in 2001 he accepted a position, as a Correctional Officer, with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office.

As a Correctional Officer, Charlie excelled.  He was quickly recognized for his ability to lead and his compassion for others.  In 2005, Charlie was promoted to Deputy Sheriff.  While serving his community, he had a positive impact on people, personally and professionally.  Charlie recently retired from the Humboldt County Sheriffs Office just one short year ago.

We ask that you hold Charlie and his family in your thoughts and prayers during this tough time.

Thank you for your support and generosity in fulfilling Charlie's wish to live the rest of his days in his home. If you have any questions, please do not reach out to Charlie, but contact Pam Wilcox [phone redacted] or Kevin Kastler.

The Lamb Family would also like to thank you for your support, prayers, and generosity.
