Please help Charlie recover from gun shot.

My name is Alicia and this is my baby Charlie. We went for a walk a week ago with my other furbabies Cole and Cooper. I have health problems and walk them in my wheelchair. As we went up to my house, my neighbor's dog ran into our driveway and attacked my dogs. When Charlie defended himself, my neighbor shot him in the head. Thankfully Charlie turned in time that it didn't kill him. The bullet went through his cheek and into his leg putting a hole right in the center of his bone. If it doesn't heal right, he will have to have his toe amputated. Animal control was very kind and offered to take him into custody to pay for his treatment but couldn't guarantee we would get him back but we couldnt risk that. As a person who has had many rescues I understand accidents happen and I'm grateful no one was hurt. But I've spoken with my neighbors about this before this incident like adults are supposed to. They have no accountability and their lack of using a $30 leash has caused considerable pain and financial issues. His leg has to be checked every 5 to 7 days and it's at least 380 each time for the next 6 to 8 weeks. We took out care credit and maxed it out at 2300 on his initial surgery. This doesn't include x rays, meds, and his amputation if it comes to that. Anything to help we would be so grateful for. We just want to make sure he heals as well as possible
