PLEASE READ! WE NEED YOUR HELP!
From those of you that do not know I took Cheetos in as a foster dog, attempting to help understand his anxiety issues.
After about a week, I realized he’d become a foster fail.
Cheetos was originally from Israel where he was struck and run over by a car. After this his previous owners decided he was useless goods and wanted to discard of him. Not taking any of his medical needs into consideration, he was left paralyzed.
With the help of Dog Tales, Chee was saved!
He was then flown to Canada where I, as well as the Dog Tales team helped to rehabilitate him after spinal surgery didn’t take. I helped to adapt him to a wheel chair, and there was an instant connection.
Cheetos may not be the easiest dog in the world at times, but he is the strongest dog I’ve ever met. He’s fearless. He’s smart. He’s loving. And I bet he can put a smile on your face any day of the week. He’s kind. He’s brave. & he’s a huge piece of my little family. He truly means the world to me. I’ve grown to learn every inch of his huge personality and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. He keeps me inspired to be better, and do better. If he can get through life’s crazy ups and downs, well, so can I. And we will do it together.
After almost three years, today was our hardest day.
Today, I found Chee collapsed.
The first thing that came to mind was heat stroke.
After cooling him down, giving him water, there was a glimmer of hope as he looked up at me in the front seat of my car.
But after his symptoms became worse, and worse, I rushed Chee to Toronto’s emergency Vet Clinic.
I was told it was not heat stroke at all, it might be something much much worse.
Chee is currently in the care of some extremely dedicated vets, getting all the help he can. He is in the ICU over the weekend. And will be receiving numerous tests to check for infections, tumours, and brain damage.
Unfortunately we were unprepared for such a blow to our little family financially and need your help. Anything would be greatly appreciated from the bottom of our hearts.
I am completely broken and lost without him. ❤️
