Please Help! Chef Henry's Funeral Fundraiser
Donation protected
Dearest friends, family members, and community,
It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce to you the passing of our beloved husband and father, Henrich Brestowski, also known as Chef Henry, at the tender age of 69, at 10:42 am on Monday, January 9, 2023, in AdventHealth Hospital of Winter Park. He fought very hard to stay present for us, but the fight became too much eventually.
We are currently asking for donations of at least $20,000 to help cover the cost of dad’s funeral and help with mom’s care. Please consider donating if you can, as any amount will truly help. We ask that in lieu of flowers, you consider a donation.
Henrich was as ridiculously funny and witty as he was intelligent and determined. His drive was unstoppable, and he accomplished so much throughout his life. His love for his family was unwavering as was, is, and always will be ours for him. As Chef Henry, he did so much more than just feed people. His irrefutable talent for cooking and passion to satisfy the most particular palates evoked nostalgia within the very first bite. Those that felt the pain of rejection more often than one should get an opportunity to work with and learn from Chef Henry.
Chef Henry suffered a massive heart attack on Valentine’s Day of 2014 and couldn’t fully recover, leaving our mother no choice but to step away from work to become his primary caretaker. Due to the financial impact of dad’s medical care, their savings were depleted much faster than anticipated.
As if our dad’s declining health wasn’t enough, our mom (dad’s primary caretaker of more than 9 years), suffered a series of cardiac events starting in May of 2022 which resulted in her two months long ICU hospitalization and an open-heart surgery to repair a cardiac aneurysm. It was a physically, emotionally, and financially grueling time trying to address and accommodate all their needs with no time to recuperate, at least emotionally.
As a result, during this difficult time, we are reaching out to our family, friends, and community for help. We want to give our beloved husband and father the memorial he so much deserves, to honor his memory and say our final Earthly goodbyes, until we meet again.
Due to the current financial position, we find ourselves in, we are still in the process of making final funeral service arrangements through Newcomer - S. Seminole Chapel but will update this page with those details as soon as it's available.
Thank you for your contribution in our time of need.
Forever Thankful,
Chef Henry's Family
