Please Help Chris, Linda and The Hounds Through Ruff Times

Hello. My name is Chris Liebenthal and I am asking for help for myself, my wife, Linda, and our three dogs, Beau, Bandit and Louie. Our family income has been cut by over $1,000 a month and this has played havoc with our family budget. We are behind in almost all of our bills, including medical bills ($10,000), utilities ($2,500) and other household expenses. On top of all that, our car is in desperate need of new tires and brakes. Louie is also medically needy and has had over $2,000 in surgeries in the last year and will be on medication for the rest of his life. With the loss of income, it has become impossible to keep up anymore.

To make things even harder, my wife and I are both older and we both have disabilities which greatly limit our employment options. My wife suffered a traumatic brain injury as a girl which has affected her whole life. I have severe arthritis and neuropathy in my feet which prevents me from standing for long or walking long distances. Three years ago, I developed an infection in my foot and leg which led to hospitalization and daily treatments for almost a year.

Any help which we receive will go first to the car repairs, making sure the dogs have food and their medications, and to get caught up on the utilities. I work from home, so without power or the internet, I have no income. Anything after that will go directly to paying off the other bills. I just know that once we get past this, we'll be OK again, but we can't get there without help from the community first.
