Your help is urgently needed. Please donate now to save the horses of Clay Hill Stables in Springdale,
Prince George’s County, Maryland.

Clay Hill Stables is in danger of shutting its doors after more than 50 years of providing community
service, affordable horseback riding lessons, competitive show teams, excellent horse training, children
and adult camps, and rider coaching.
Many of the horses used in these programs are donated to ClayHill Stables; some have been nursed back to health from injury or sickness. The cost for their care is all out of pocket.

Clay Hill Stables has earned national recognition with its long tradition of developing horses and riders
to achieve greatness. Under the guidance of Emmie Prettyman, this woman-owned business has
consistently produced winning horses and riders. Unfortunately, a major illness sidelined Emmie several
years ago, which caused major financial setbacks. While her love of the horses gave her the desire to
continue to run the stable, she never fully recovered from the loss of income and high medical bills. This
year has been a particularly rough one, as Emmie has struggled with several more hospitalizations and
medical complications. Additionally, in an effort to maintain low-cost riding programs, the escalating
upkeep for the horses creates another financial dilemma.

Friends and supporters of Clay Hill Stables have organized and set up this Go Fund Me account to ensure
the wonderful horses continue to enjoy the good care and attention they deserve. We are all indebted
to the many years of service and love and knowledge these horses and ponies have provided to
equestrians of all levels and ages.

Your donation is desperately needed to allow the owner and management of Clay Hill Stables the opportunity to clear debt and restructure the business to keep one of Prince George’s County’s most respected riding stables operating.
