Help Coco Nogales- Ayuda Coco Nogales

Please help our dear friend and surfing legend Coco Nogales!

During the historic swell at Isla Todos Santos on January 13th, Coco broke his pelvis and sacrum after getting caught inside by a cleanup set. He was immediately taken to the hospital in Ensenada where he stayed for almost two days before being told they would not operate on him and was asked to leave the hospital. After further consultation with multiple medical specialists, the decision was made to transport him to the U.S.A. where he could receive immediate emergency surgery for his life-threatening injuries.

Coco’s surgery was a success, and he is in good spirits as he embarks on the lengthy rehabilitation process. Unfortunately given the circumstances, he was unable to receive any medical insurance assistance and now faces an overwhelming financial bill and needs our help!

Durante el oleaje histórico en Isla Todos Santos el 13 de enero, Coco se rompió la pelvis y el sacro después de quedar atrapado adentro de varias olas grandes. Inmediatamente lo llevaron al hospital de Ensenada, donde permaneció casi dos días antes de que le dijeran que no lo operarían y le pidieron que abandonara el hospital. Después de más consultas con múltiples especialistas médicos, se tomó la decisión de transportarlo a los Estados Unidos, donde podría recibir una cirugía de emergencia inmediata por sus lesiones potencialmente mortales.

La cirugía de Coco fue un éxito y está de buen humor mientras se embarca en el largo proceso de rehabilitación. Desafortunadamente, dadas las circunstancias, no pudo recibir ninguna asistencia de seguro médico y ahora enfrenta una factura financiera abrumadora y necesita nuestra ayuda.
