Please help Colleen on her endometriosis journey!
Most women wait 8 years + to find a diagnosis of endometriosis, through multiple hospital visits, specialists, MRI's, Cat Scans, pain management clinics, cortisone injections, naturopaths, surgeries.. the list goes on, all that Colleen has had to endure over these long years of false diagnosis and zero relief or cure.
5 years ago, Colleen had surgery with one of the top Canadian endometriosis specialists from Womans Hospital and UBC. Unfortunately, endometriosis was still left behind as they couldn't indefinitely identify it. Canadian DR believe that endometriosis will subside with menopause. But despite all this, Colleen has been left with a life of debilitating chronic and constant leg pain, GI problems and pain that is worsened with any form of exercise which extremely limits her lifestyle.
Canadian doctors believe that a hysterectomy will resolve endometrias (which Colleen had) as it is estrogen fed. But, European countries have now discovered that endo creates its own estrogen. The gold standard for endometriosis is non invasive laparoscopic excision.
After years of searching for answers, endless pain, healing and endless research, Colleen has found and secured an appointment with one of the top endometriosis doctors in Atlanta, Georgia, who holds the answers she's long needed. Colleen & Jimmy leave next week and surgery is set for Thursday, March 28th. Our Canadian medical coverage will not help her, so I am asking today for financial help in aiding my aunt in her journey of recovery, for her surgery and stay in Atlanta.
If anyone knows my aunt, knows that she is always the first to come forward in helping anyone in need, a hardworking, devoted and loving Mother, wife, daughter, aunt, sister and friend.
Any share or dollar is so greatly appreciated
