Please Help Courtney Belcher Beat Rare Cancer
Donation protected
Courtney Belcher is a 31 year old registered nurse in the ICU at Princeton Community Hospital, in Princeton, WV. She graduated from the University Pittsburg Medical School of Nursing in December 2021. Courtney then moved back to her hometown and began her dream job: helping patients who needed her skills the most in the intensive care unit.
Fast forward a few months to May 2022. Courtney started to feel extremely tired and run down. Her doctor treated her for a sinus infection and told her to get some rest. After three weeks, symptoms only worsened. It became so debilitating, Courtney could barely get out of the bed. Further testing led to more testing and more waiting. Meanwhile, her family stayed by her side and prayed for good news.
Unfortunately, good news never came. Courtney was finally diagnosed with Stage 4 non Hodgkin’s T cell Lymphoma, with secondary HLH - a very rare and aggressive form of cancer. She was transported to Wake Forest Hospital on May 21st. Her parents arrived shortly thereafter. Courtney’s chemo treatments began on May 23rd. The words aggressive and rare are never words anyone wants to hear when used to describe their cancer. However, her medical team is optimistic that she can beat this!
How can you help Courtney? First, and most importantly- PRAY! Pray for strength, healing, and wisdom for her medical team. Secondly, Courtney needs help financially. The medical bills are adding up quickly. Meanwhile, her bills at home continue to add up as well. Courtney needs to focus on her healing. If we all give a little, we can keep her afloat until she can get back on her feet, helping others!
Courtney and her family want to thank those who have been praying and/or donated already. They appreciate it, more than they can express in words.
