Please help Cullen Lonergan in rare time of need

Donation protected
Hey! My name is Sam Lonergan and I am the younger sister of Cullen Lonergan. Many of his close friends and family have heard by now that Cullen was in a bad accident on his mountain bike. He and a friend went on a mountain bike day trip in Corona, CA on December 6, 2022. On his way down the mountain, Cullen hit a bump or an obstacle and flew over his handle bars, landing hard on his head. He was luckily wearing his helmet but it unfortunately did not prevent him from sustaining multiple brain bleeds. He was airlifted off the mountain and brought to the nearest hospital.

As of 12/19/22 Cullen is stable and is leaving the hospital (hopefully) soon to move to an acute rehab facility. He will receive daily intensive occupational, speech, and physical therapy. He will stay there for at least 10 days (likely a week or two longer).

Cullen has a long road ahead as far as rehab goes. I am making this go fund me with the support of my family to try and help offset the expenses of Cullen’s stay in the hospital and acute care facility. We just heard today that his copay is $250 PER DAY at both the hospital and the acute care facility. He will also have to pay his deductible, of which the amount is unknown at this time. If there are donations remaining beyond medical bills, that money will help offset family expenses, such as food, gas, and lodging near the hospital/acute care facility, as well as pay any of Cullen’s non-medical bills.

My family and I want to thank you all so much for your concern for Cullen. This has been extremely difficult for all of us and your kind words mean so much! We knew Cullen was loved but we didn’t realize how much he meant to so many people.

Many of you have been following my Facebook updates about my brother’s progress. If we aren’t Facebook friends and you want to follow his progress, please add me. My name on Facebook is Samantha Lonergan. I have a pinned post on my page detailing all of Cullen’s progress. I ask that you refrain from tagging Cullen in any comments or posts about his accident or progress at this time. I believe if he is tagged and gets notifications from the tag, he will get confused and overwhelmed. He is still very confused about why he is in the hospital. Thank you for your understanding!
