Please help Cymbaline get the surgery she needs

My name is Sam; I'm 26. I'm originally French, but have been dreaming to move to Canada my whole life. Now, this dream has finally come true! I've spent the past 4 years working in Canada and the US, and I'm now working towards getting permanent residence in Canada. It's not been easy, and I'm proud of how far I've come.

Unfortunately, one of my two cats, Cymbaline, need urgent surgery. She has stomatitis, which is an extremely painful condition. It's an immune reaction to accumulation of plaque on her teeth; her body is basically attacking itself. It's causing her a lot of pain, and is making eating difficult. The only long term solution is a dental surgery, which consists in removing all of her teeth.

Here's her story!

About 18 months ago, I adopted a pair of bonded cats. While they were not siblings by blood, they had grown with each other since they were 4 weeks old. They were about 9 months old when I adopted them. I renamed them Nick Furry (he is a black one-eyed cat, what else was I going to name him?!) and Cymbaline, after one of my favourite Pink Floyd songs.

They are both fantastic cats. Very shy and wary of strangers, but kind and loving once they get to trust people. They have traveled with me, by car, from SoCal to BC, then from BC to Ontario. They love traveling! They do not mind the car one bit.

Unfortunately, I came to find out that both of them had health issues. Nick Furry often has urinary problems; in the past 6 months, I've had to take him to the emergency clinic in the middle of the night twice. Cymbaline has stomatitis. While we were able to handle her stomatitis without resorting to surgery for a while, she now needs surgery as soon as possible. She's struggling to eat because she is in pain.

I'm sure it has been a difficult year for all of you. It sure has been for me. I've had to move from SoCal to BC a year ago for visa reasons, leaving people who are like family to me behind. Then moving from BC to Ontario for work. Being unable to see anyone due to Covid, and only having my two cats for company and support. I love them more than I can tell. They make the darkest of days a little brighter.

I have always prided myself on being able to afford care for my pets myself, no matter how outrageously expensive it got. But between Nick Furry's emergency visits, car troubles, getting laid off six weeks ago, having to move two weeks ago, and having to move again in six weeks, finances are getting tight. I have a new job, but I'm not quite working full time yet. And I have to pay for first and last months for my new places, which has depleted all of my savings. I can't ask my family for help, and I don't know where else to turn.

There is an open slot for her surgery in 12 days from now, on March 29. I would love to get her in that quickly, but I can't afford it by myself. I don't know when that will happen if I don't ask for help.

Cymbaline and Nick Furry love each other, they are inseparable. I want to make sure they get to grow old together, and that they both are as healthy as they can be.
