Help Dani and Eliot rebuild from Ludlow, VT Flood
Donation protected
Dear Friends of Dani and Eliot,
The recent catastrophic flooding in Ludlow, Vermont, has been devastating for Dani and Eliot. The photos shared here show just a snapshot of the devastation to their home, property, and cars. They are basically homeless right now, and don't know when they will be able to return to their house, as their road has been completely washed away, along with many other roads in Ludlow. (There's no access to their home, other than by trudging through the woods/mud to check on their property.) Their cars were completely destroyed. Their basement is under more than 5 feet of water. There was an oil spill that will be incredibly expensive to mitigate (costs still unknown). They lost two cars, a brand new furnace, a hot water heater, a washing machine, a dryer, and so much more. They don't know when electricity will be restored. More importantly, they have no idea when the very long road to their house will be rebuilt and when they'll even be able to access their home by road to begin cleanup efforts, which will be extensive.
After several days of working the phones, they've been told that their insurance will cover nothing. NOTHING! (Isn't this the entire reason why we all pay for insurance? To help us in times of catastrophic need?)
Please consider donating in any amount to help Dani and Eliot get through this unexpected devastation. Your kindness is greatly appreciated.
