Please help David and the Zito Family
Donation protected
For his entire life David has been battling a rare genetic disease called X-linked Lymphoproliferative Syndrome, also known as Duncan’s syndrome. With this disease the immune system doesn’t respond properly and overreacts to infections, affecting multiple organs of the body. David’s disease has progressed and has caused several critical conditions that have put him in the ICU at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (the only hospital able to treat his disease) for the past two weeks. These conditions will require David to spend multiple weeks in critical care to receive treatments to slow the progression of his disease. When he is medically cleared for discharge, he will need to go to rehab in order to work with physical therapy and gain back his strength. He will also require a home health nurse for when he can return home to help administer daily intravenous medications.
Since his disease has progressed over the last two years, David has been unable to work, leaving him in need of financial assistance for both medical and travel expenses. Any assistance you can provide David and his family would be incredibly appreciated. Their battle has been long, and the road ahead is longer, but they need your support to give David the best chance at recovery. David is a loved son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend who is looking to continue his fight and be in the lives of those he loves.
Thank you for your support.
