PLEASE help David win his battle with Cancer
I am a friend of David and Vera. I am reaching out to ask for your help. As many of you may know David is now faced with one of the biggest challenges of his life. He was recently diagnosed with cancer on his tonsils, which has metastasized (spread) to his lymph nodes and is now encroaching into his jugular vein and may eventually involve his trachea. He has a long road of treatment and recovery ahead of him.
David recently had an Implantable port or “port-a-cath” implanted in order to deliver the chemotherapy medications. The treatment plan moving forward includes radiation, chemotherapy and installing a feeding tube as he will be unable to chew or swallow. As you can imagine time is of the essence in order to control the growth of this cancer. While the family has medical insurance, the co-pays and deductibles stand in the way of his immediate treatment.
In addition to these expenses, there is the matter of David’s lost wages. Vera will also be unable to work full-time during his treatment as
he will require at-home-care. This loss of income coupled with the outrageous medical co-pays, deductibles and drug costs, the family will
require assistance from all avenues to be able to continue his required medical treatment and remain in their home. That is why I am
reaching out to you all and asking for your help. Their immediate needs are to meet the extensive medical deductibles and copays while
continuing to pay their monthly mortgage payments, grocery requirements and utility bills.
I ask that you reach out to David and Vera when possible with your words of encouragement, prayers and love. I personally know that this
family gives everything they have to others in need when possible. They are two of the most selfless people that I have ever known. It is for this reason that I have decided to do all that I can to help them now that they find themselves in need. Please consider making a monetary
contribution to David and Vera during this very difficult time. Any amount you can give will greatly contribute to the family’s peace of
mind.
Remember…no donation is too small. If you are able to help in other ways, I am confident they would be most appreciative.
