JULY 2026 UPDATE * It's been a while since I have checked in. Over the past year I have been on a steady path of healing with a few glitches here and there. The persistent low platelet count may stay with me now and into the future. I have received platelet infusions this year. I'm happy to say that I remain in remission regarding no new tumors. I do require blood work, scans of my liver, lungs, heart & brain every six months. Continuing care does require co pays of a pretty significant cost, those costs recently exceed my income so that creates a level of stress & anxiety. Any further contributions

Asking for help is the hardest part of this journey. We are fund raising on my behalf as I move forward with cancer treatments scheduled through October 2024. I was diagnosed with HCC hepatocellular carcinoma liver cancer in January 2023 and my life has changed dramatically.

Major surgery in March removed a significant 9.8 cm tumor from my liver & a resection removed half of my liver. The follow up looked promising with clean margins & a positive pathology report showed no signs of spread into other organs.

Within 2 months the HCC heptocellular carcinoma returned as a tumor and progressed to several tumors. Treatments of IV immunotherapy/ chemotherapy began in June. Unfortunately HCC is an aggressive cancer.

My next procedure scheduled for August 23, is Y 90 Embolization or radiation bead implants into multiple tumors to cut off blood supply & hopefully shrink them. This is not a cure for HCC but if all goes well it will give me an improved quality of life & time. There are no clinical trials being offered to me at this time.

Studio time up until the cancer diagnosis was easily “full time.” Due to fatigue, pain & other setbacks I’ve missed months of work.

My career as an artist is my sole motivation & income. I’ve defined myself as a visual artist for almost 40 years with hundreds of exhibitions & the support of amazing galleries, collectors & curators here in the states & abroad.

The Go Fund Me amount is based on continuing lost income since January 2023, all out of pocket costs, medical expenses,

additional treatments that are CRUCIAL plus all living expenses.

The funds will enable me to focus solely on my health and well-being, without the added stress of bills and financial constraints.

This is the biggest challenge of my entire life. I am grateful for an amazing group of friends and their unwavering support and love.
