Please Help Dolores and Erika

Update: Lola Gomez (Dolores) had her Ureteroscopy yesterday (a massive kidney stone was removed), doing well and at home recovering.  Please show some love and donate whatever you can. Thank you.

Hi, my name is Tom Murray and I am fundraising for Dolores and Erika Gomez. They are two beautiful people (mother and daughter) and could really use some help right now. I am reaching out because Dolores has been admitted into the hospital and is currently battling against a large kidney stone that is causing a blockage in her urethra, compounded by the kidney stone becoming seriously infected...a condition called Urosepsis (a life threatening condition).

Needless to say, this condition is causing Dolores continued acute pain, not to mention the complications involved with Urosepsis. Dolores had to have a nephrostomy bag , a small tube/bag connected to her kidney in order to drain and divert the fluid from the blocked urethra.

Dolores will also have to undergo surgery to have the kidney stone removed once the sepsis is cleared. Dolores has a long road to recovery. Obviously, Dolores is unable to work leaving her daughter, Erika, to provide while Dolores is in recovery.

The medical bills and other expenses like rent, utilities, food, etc, will not be covered due to Erika having to take a leave from her job (without pay) to continue to provide care for her mother for the next several months.

Update: Dolores is out of the hospital and convalescing at home, under Erika's full time care. She will have to see her urologist in the coming week to assess the infection and hopefully schedule the surgery to remove the kidney stone from the urethra.
