Please help Donald Gaita with medical expenses

Dear Friends and Family,

Despite how easy going & carefree our dad may seem on the outside, he's holding in an overwhelming amount of stress.

Whether you know this unforgettably great man as Don, Donald, Uncle Donald, Dot or Dad, he continues to battle terminal cancer. It's taking a significant toll on him and our family.

Due to his illness Donald is no longer capable of working to any meaningful capacity. The financial anxiety of meeting his monthly expenses has created a profound amount of added emotional stress on him (as well as us) as we all learn to navigate his challenging new reality.

In addition Dons medical bills are piling up. His diagnosis is

cancer of Hypopharynx Mediastinal Lymphadenopathy

The treatments to extend Donald's life while alleviating some of his physical discomfort along with an immune boosting treatment come with a hefty price. The mandatory minimum payments to continue his treatments are quite expensive as you can imagine.

We never dreamed we would be creating a GoFundMe for our soon to be 67 year old father, but for some reason life's journey has lead us here. So, we're trying to make the best of it.

We're asking for donations to provide some relief from the heavy burdens Donald is and will be facing over his remaining time here with all of us. As well as for the unfortunate future.

We hope for any funds raised in this GoFundMe to help ease the financial pressure and ensure Dad can focus on what truly matters right now. Every donation no matter the amount is appreciated more than we can explain. 100% of every donation will contribute to Donald's necessary medical bills, monthly/daily expenses along with future costs relating to Donald's care & his inevitable final costs.

Donald is a divinely unique soul who is indescribable! No matter the relationship you have with Donald it's most certain you have NEVER said to him.... "You remind me of someone"

He's full of the unexpected & expected for some. He's full of knowledge and a Glass is 1/2 full kind of guy. With a sense of humor like no other! He is ingeniously creative. Based on his many captivating stories of life experiences Donald has done amazing & amazingly stupid things, but......

He's always been a survivor!!!

That's part of what makes this so difficult. He's pushing himself past his limits at this point. It has resulted in more than multiple bone fractures. It's hard to comprehend & accept seeing such a strong and capable man become so fragile and weak.
