Please Help Donate To Mugen the Pit Bull’s Surgery
Donation protected
Over the course of the last few days my beloved dog, Mugen has fallen ill. She started with diarrhea and then she began profusely vomiting late in the evening. She had an appointment for the following day to see her vet but my husband and I wound up rushing her to a local emergency vet instead because her symptoms got worse. It turns out one of her Christmas toys was somehow ingested in part and is creating a blockage.
Below is the long story but the short version is that she needs surgery that’s estimated to cost $8000. I’ve taken out a couple loans to help get her well as soon as possible but if anyone would like to donate whatever they can, it will be greatly appreciated. I’d love to be able to send you all personal thank you notes as well.

Hey Mugen family, I wanted to keep you all in the loop with Mugen’s health. Yesterday she was having diarrhea and later in the evening began vomiting profusely. When she threw up one of the times she threw up a little bit of a squeaker from a toy. The rest was water.
We had a vet appointment for the following morning but we felt that was too far away and rushed her to a local emergency vet especially once she began to shake and whine.
We checked her in at 9pm and her vitals were fine but she was very dehydrated. They don’t believe it’s a blockage. We (vets included) believe it’s been unable to be digested and seriously upset her GI Tract.
We were with her at the emergency vet until 2am and she was discharged after she received an injection of an anti nausea medication and a lot of fluids. She was sent home with an antibiotic/anti diarrhea medication.
She slept soundly through the rest of the night but this morning was very lethargic, refused egg, and boiled chicken. She drank water that we portioned out for her and she kept it down but she began drooling excessively and was unable to pass a stool. Not sure if the inability to pass a stool was due to an empty stomach or possible blockage so she is back at the vet but it’s her usual vet. They wanted to keep her and monitor her for the day. If they feel it may be a blockage she will go for an x ray to determine if it is or not.
She’s not in immediate danger but my husband and I wanted her to be in the safest hands possible while she’s not feeling well. It’s been an expensive last few hours but it’s all worth it so my baby is ok.

UPDATE: 12:48pm Vets called and want to do bloodwork and some x-rays. They said she’s depressed and lethargic it otherwise ok. They will call me in a few hours to let me know the findings.
UPDATE: 3:11pm Another update on Mugen. The vet just called and said they actually did find an obstruction and she will need surgery. We are picking her up and driving her to the surgeon now. Will update this post as more develops.
UPDATE: 6:58pm Mugen is being prepped for surgery.
