Ease the financial burden for the Entsminger Family

Dear Friends,

We are reaching out today to help Chad and Andria Entsminger.

Their son, Marky, who has profound autism and OCD, was terminated from his residential school in June with no warning and no transition plan at all.

He has been in and out of hospitals in three states since then, spending much of his time in multiple ERs without treatment.

He comes home traumatized and angry. He has scars on his legs from being mechanically restrained for days on end.

Every residential school they’ve applied to says he's too high needs and they can't support him. He has been sent back home for Chad and Andria to care for him. There is a hearing date with the Department of Education in February 2025.

Andria had to close her business and quit her advocacy jobs in August. Adding stress to already insurmountable stress, Chad just lost his job.

They are already almost $10,000 in debt with legal fees alone.

Every agency has been contacted over the past six months. Andria is an accomplished advocate, but they have exhausted all options. This is a long-haul crisis; the financial burdens and possibility of losing desperately needed health insurance is tragic.

We love this family because of all they do for our community. They have always been the first to help those in need, Andria volunteering her time as a surrogate to children who don’t have a caregiver to attend their IEP meetings and pro bono advocacy work.

These are tremendous parents and humans that are managing the unfathomable to most.

We can’t fix the broken system, but we can provide them relief from financial devastation.
