Please Help Fight Shad's Cancer with us!

Hi, my name is Katie Roghaar, and I am fundraising for my brother Shad.

My beloved brother, Shad Roghaar, has recently been diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma (gallbladder cancer) and is now literally fighting for his life. His cancer, who we have fondly but cursedly named F Xenomorph (FX), is stage IV, inoperable, metastatic, and incurable. We are all understandably devastated.

Shad is an amazing artist and dedicated art teacher, an incredible chef, a devoted father to 3 beautiful children (Olivia, 12 y/o Ray, 19 y/o, and Chloe, 27 y/o) a dedicated husband, a dedicated son, a fun-loving uncle, and of course a supportive brother. Shad has survived many challenges in his life, including the loss of our father when Shad was only 18, and the loss of his first wife and mother of his oldest daughter. Still, Cancer (F Xenomorph) cuts the cake and wins the award for the biggest fight he’s had to face thus far.

This diagnosis comes on top of his beautiful wife, Steph's, continuing battle with stage 3b melanoma (UnNED) for the last 5 years. She has gone through multiple treatments of immunotherapy, surgeries, and a clinical trial. Needless to say, it has been an incredibly difficult time for their family.

Due to this devastating diagnosis Shad has not been able to continue teaching so we are striving to help him and his family with anything that we can; including their mortgage, groceries, transportation to and from treatments, medical bills, and anything else that may arise. We are hoping to give Shad the best possible treatment, which will hopefully lead to the best possible outcome, in order to get him and his family through this hard time.
