Please help for Holden Scott Atkins

Ty & McKenna’s baby Holden Scott Atkins had made his appearance on 4/28 @4:02. It was not at all how they thought it was going to be. She was over 41 weeks pregnant. 42 hours after being induced and 2 hours of active labor, She had to have an emergency c section. Due to having an infection in her uterus that no one knew about & many other complications. It caused Holden to have a high heart rate during labor and her to have a fever. This caused her contractions to slow and the labor was prolonged. Once the c section was done Holden was not breathing and went 30 seconds without oxygen. He was then intubated and had oxygen but was not breathing on his own for over 3 minutes. With the loss of oxygen there is a concern there is brain damage. Holden was flown to UCSF Children’s Hospital to undergo treatment and tests. Ty made his way down to UCSF the next day while she had to stay in the hospital and recover for 2 days. They are there with him waiting for answers. He seems to be a healthy strong boy. It was not the way they pictured this going but they are happy he is okay and already love him more than anything. They ask to give them privacy during this time as it has been very traumatic and they are still going through a lot. If you’d like to check up on them and Holden please reach out to the grandma’s Jennifer Wrask & Melissa Turner. They really don’t have any answers yet and will continue to update the family as they know what’s going on. They want to spend as much uninterrupted time with Holden that they can while he’s in the hospital.

Due to these circumstances we ask for your help. Ty & McKenna will be in Oakland for 10+ days. With lost wages, housing, food and gas it’s adding up quickly.
