Please help fund Christopher Henry's new album!
Dearest family, friends and neighbors -
I humbly ask for your support in the endeavor of creating a new album of original music, my first in over 5 years. 2020 was an interesting and educational year for all and I commend each and everyone of you for getting through it. I dealt/am still dealing with plenty of my own personal hardships, but by the grace of the Goddess, getting through them to the best of my capabilities. As you all know, due to Covid, all live gigs were cancelled; those with my dad, Peter Rowan as well as my own solo performances. My wife, an incredible yoga teacher as well as Yoga Teacher Trainer, was furloughed in March and still is, as yoga in person just has not been deemed safe yet. I spent a couple of months on unemployment as I needed a bit of time to dig deep and shift my energy and focus so that I could essentially become a breadwinner for my family during this difficult time. It became clear to me that serving, in the form of teaching, was to be my main mission for the year. I spent plenty of hours teaching private lessons; mandolin, guitar, banjo, song writing, and even music production. I also created an ongoing workshop teaching the mandolin style of Bill Monroe and a similar guitar workshop teaching the styles of many great bluegrass legends. In addition, I produced a full length album with the artist Jackson Melnick (please check it out "Abiliene"). I love teaching the music and am immensely grateful for having had this work and hence the ability to take care of my family. Thank you to everyone who supported me/us in some way, shape or form during this time.
The one thing that is extremely important to me, that I have not been able to manifest due to limited time and resources, is to record an album of my own music. There are many songs that are patiently awaiting to be birthed to the masses. I am more than passionate about this music that I have been channeling, writing and now ready to share with the main intention being for that of healing.
No donation is too small, and anything over $20 will receive the entire album. Even the consideration of your assistance in making this happen would be extremely kind, generous and appreciated. I understand that right now times are tough for so many of us out there, and even if you don't have the means to donate monetarily, sharing this page and/or sending a prayer above for this dream to come to fruition would be great gifts that are welcomed and given thanks for.
One of my main prayers for 2021, is that we can truly come together; in community, in unity, as ONE; in our sameness and our differences, and learn to truly know radical self love so that we can then embody and spread radical love for all.
