Please help Furever Farm and it's Animals
Furever Farm has been in existence for nearly seven years. Our mission is simple; to save and care for the animals that no-one thinks about.
Farm animals have zero rights under Australian Law and are often dismissed as being unworthy of rescue. Furever Farm, in it's time, has rescued hundreds of animals from pain, suffering or certain death. We rescue, without question, the lost, dumped, orphaned, abused, sick and special needs. Our task we love, despite working towards a day when sanctuary is not needed.
We have also placed over one hundred large animals into their furever homes via adoption. We have seen loving adopters grow as they provide their own little bit of sanctity to adopted animals, some that started life so precariously.
It is our calling. It is our promise. It is our pledge.
Therefore it pains us to think that we may not be able to continue helping those most in need. The way of the world sadly dictates that funds are a necessity for any venture. Yes, including non-profit charity. To run a sanctuary everyday is so expensive it is almost beyond description. Donations and fundraising are integral to longevity, they are paramount to love and care.
Those that know us, have followed us during our journey know that we hardly ask for funds. We certainly have never used a forum such as this, it is a first for us. We do this simply because we have no other option and we are desperate. We are desperate to keep Furever Farm going.
We are not here to emotionally blackmail anyone. We are not here to exaggerate or seek more than we need. We are here simply to ask for help, help to continue caring for the animals.
The financial situation of the sanctuary has reached crisis point. In one week alone the farm has outlaid $24,000 for various costs. The remainder of the much needed pig shelter build, medication and feed for the animals, vehicle running costs. We still have a large vet bill incoming and we are about to outlay over $2000 for hay. Further shelters need building for animals.
Furever Farm is in danger of having to close it's doors.
We ask you, if you can, to help us survive so we can continue to help the animals survive. They are our concern. We ask for as little as you can spare. As the saying goes; the cost of sacrificing one cup of coffee. We ask for you to share this call for help as far and wide as you can. We know that you will, you never fail us.
To see the sanctuary close would be as heartbreaking as it is devastating for the animals. There are so many more to save. So many more to heal. So many more to prosper.
We ask this of you with humbleness and gratitude. We simply ask that you do what you can.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Darren & Hayley.
