Help get Boo her life saving operation

Hello this is Boo our puppy. She has always been a lovely little girl who loves to cuddle, learn new tricks and go on walks until recently when she became unwell and we had to take her to the vets.

At this appointment we were told her liver was not functioning properly and Boo had an extremely high number of toxins pumping around her body, as this was a life and death situation we were referred immediately to a vet hospital.

After a number of tests Boo has been diagnosed with a congenital liver shunt, a condition that is extremely rare in large breed dogs. She had multiple scans and IV treatments to get her to the point where she can be kept stable on medications until she is old enough to have a life saving operation.

She needs this operation because although the medications can keep her stable for a short time she is unlikely to live past the age of one because the toxins her liver cannot remove will continuously build up until she cannot fight it anymore. The operation will block off the abnormal blood vessels in her liver allowing it to work as normal and for Boo to live a full and happy life.

As you can understand this has been an extremely stressful time for us watching our puppy be so unwell. We have already used all of the £3000 on Boo’s Pet Plan Insurance and our savings we had towards our wedding to get Boo this far. In 4 months time we will need to pay a further £7000 to get her this life saving operation. We will work to get all of the money we can towards this ourselves but we can only do so much in such a short time as we already work full time as a NHS Nurse and a Support Worker for people with learning disabilities. We are putting our hope in kindness of strangers to help us save our little girl.
