Please help get Kemesha back home to Jamaica
Donation protected
On Sunday, March 13, 2022, the life of our dear friend Kemesha was taken tragically and unexpectedly by a hit-and-run driver in Bridgeport, CT, while crossing the street. Kemesha was a live-in aide for our mother who suffers from Alzheimer's Disease, and had recently celebrated two years of working with her and providing the most kind and compassionate care. Kemesha not only treated our mother as though she was her own, but treated all those around her with respect, understanding, and patience. Kemesha had a dream to be an American citizen. She was going through proper channels to reach that goal and was near to the finish line. Due to lack of funds, her family here in the US and in her homeland of Jamaica cannot fund the funeral expenses, nor is there enough money to send her to Jamaica for a proper burial. This untimely death comes at a time when her family is unable to afford to fly her body from the US to Jamaica and inclusive of the proper funeral expenses that will be incurred. We ask for your heartfelt support to aid us in getting Kemesha home. We are beyond thankful for any help we can get. It breaks our heart that this caring, honest, loving person has not received the burial that she would deserve, surrounded by her dear friends and family. We hope with your help we can do this for her. Our family would like to thank News 12 for covering this tragic story and for all of their support, as well as for the support of WICC radio in helping to get Kemesha home.
