Please Help Gingers foal

As some of you may know, Ginger gave birth to her beautiful foal on Sunday the 25th at 12:52am. This was nearly a month early so she is premature. A few hours after, I had our local vet come out Sunday morning to do a new foal exam where she treated her for dehydration with iv fluids and constipation with enema. She started to bounce back but shortly after the vet was out again that same day. We spent the day at our local vet on Monday. And again brought her back to the local vet Tuesday where they expressed their concern and said her best chance at survival would be to take her to Littleton equine clinic. She arrived at Littleton equine clinic Tuesday night around 6pm and has been there ever since.

They said she has an internal infection that is a contributing factor to her diarrhea issues and also an upset tummy and not tolerating her mothers milk as she should be. Which is causing her to be dehydrated still, they are keeping her on fluids and have just switched her to an oral antibiotic. She is still experiencing gi upset and we are waiting for the fecal results to determine the type of infection she has. Our vet bills so far has been $1800 At our local vet, and the equine hospital is now at a total of $7500 and increasing as they still need to keep her. They are going day by day and we still don’t know when we can bring her home. We are hopeful that it will be soon. My mom and dad work hard and are doing everything they can. But we could really use the help. Right now we are a bit overwhelmed at the cost of all of this and if you can find it in your heart to donate we would be so grateful.
