Please Help Ginny Heal

Hi, my name is Michelle and on behalf of many family members, I am raising money for my Aunt Ginny.

Ginny Wooldridge is a 77-year-old beloved mom, grandmom, sister, aunt, and friend. Ginny is also a widow. She was involved in a serious car accident on July 20, 2021. She was flown to the hospital from the scene of the accident and remained in critical care for weeks. She sustained many serious injuries, especially in both of her legs. They were severely broken and she almost required amputation.

Ginny was eventually stable enough to be transferred to a rehabilitation facility, where she then endured much isolation due to COVID visitation policies. She went for weeks not being allowed to have even one visitor.

Ginny is still at that rehab facility, and they recently told her, with one day of warning, that she needed to make some difficult decisions about her long-term care. With very little time to make sense of what was happening, Ginny found out that her insurance coverage for her needs is very much lacking. While the details get worked out, she is being charged $400 per day to stay at this rehab facility, and that is for very basic care. Her therapies have been discontinued at this time.

Ginny has family members trying hard to advocate for her through a very trying time. This includes better care at the facility and also preparing for her discharge, which will require making some renovations to her home in order to accommodate her, and arranging for a visiting nurse since she will come home wheelchair bound and still has a significant wound to care for on her side.

Ginny has had such an amazing attitude these past 3 months. She is so very grateful for even the smallest things. She is kind and she is a warrior. We cannot wait to see her singing in church again one day.

Simply put, Ginny needs financial support for her medical needs, pending medical bills, and accommodations to make her home safe for her. Any help you can give is appreciated beyond words. Every penny of it will go toward helping Ginny heal. Thank you so very much for reading!
