Please help me get a new car :(

My name is Breland aka GlitterForever17 on YouTube and TikTok . I document the insanity of my life on a daily basis. I currently have a 2002 BMW X5 and due to my current circumstances, I'm grateful the car is in my mom's name. Otherwise, it probably would have been stolen by the state government by now. It's been ragged out by previous owners and is literally falling apart. I've been saving for a new car for about a year now but all that money is gone and here's why...

Ever since I posted this gofundme, back in 2023, (which I later took down a few days after posting). Because, I decided to try to save the money for a new car, on my own. That has proven to be a failure.

This week, the Louisiana Internal Revenue service found my new (current) bank account and put a levy of $5,300 on my account. This means, the Louisiana Internal Revenue service (State taxes) has forced my bank to put a hold of that amount, which will be withdrew by the state and put towards a very old state tax debt from 2017. I have called and asked for leniency but they refuse to work with me. They stated that they don't care if it causes hardships or distress. The amount they are taking from me, is almost the exact amount, I've already saved for my new car. I wasn't warned of this levy in advance, otherwise I would have tried to work out a payment plan. This has caused me financial and physical distress that I can't even explain.

This tax debt is so old, it was about to expire in 2027. Plus that's only a tiny fraction of what is actually owed. Over 7 years, it's accumulated late fees, which increased the debt substantially. Back in 2016, I got rich quick and also lost the money quick. I made a lot of poor decisions and was broke. I didn't have enough money left to pay the taxes on most of my earnings. I'm currently on "uncollectable" status with the IRS due to my current financial state. The Louisiana tax department don't take my federal status into consideration.

The only thing I can think of is to start this Gofundme back up again to try and recoop my lost car savings. Thank God, I had the money in my bank account to cover this state tax levy. Otherwise, they would have taken all of my money, without any to be put towards this outstanding debt. I do have some money left but because of this, it's a big chunk that is gone. Louisiana Internal Revenue is a brutal, spineless part of our "government" and they really don't care about Louisiana citizens, such as myself. Have you seen our roads? The crime? The poverty here? Exactly. Where does that tax money even go? Definitely not into where it needs to go. Not only that, I can't believe they would do this to people during such a tough time in our economy. It's truly evil. I'm disgusted with the Louisiana Internal Revenue service. Cruel, evil and cold hearted.

Thank you to anyone who wants to help me out. I don't like asking but I've had lots of requests for this. You have seen my car in my TikToks and I was SO CLOSE to getting a new one. Now I'm back to square one.
