For those of you who don’t know Heather she is not only my dear friend and a stellar human.. she’s also a massage therapist and spiritual healer here in San Diego. But pandemics and in-person healing sessions don’t mix so her practice has taken a huge hit. In the beginning of the pandemic Heather sold a bunch of massage packages to make up for the money she was losing. When she was able to accept in-person clients again, it was mostly all going towards the packages she’d previously sold. That means zero money coming in. They also got aid from small business relief grants, unemployment and stimulus checks but all of that has also ended. Heather and Eric have struggled to keep up financially and finally in November it caught up with them. They have November, December and now January rent due and their landlord is threatening eviction. They applied for a disaster loan and were denied. They tried to get rental assistance through The City of San Diego but were denied because they don’t have an eviction notice. Getting an eviction notice is not something anyone wants. Heather is looking into side jobs and is trying to do more distanced healing sessions but a looming eviction makes it hard to catch up. This damn pandemic is taking down so many people without even infecting them. Please help Heather and her family get back on their feet. She does so much for so many and deserves some love in return.
